Podmasters has re-signed Fin vs History, the hit comedy-history podcast created by comedian Fin Taylor and Horatio Gould, as the show surpasses 66 million downloads & views since its launch. The show's success has been driven by its deliberately unconventional approach to history. Taylor and Gould combine genuine interest in the past with the irreverent instincts of stand-up comedians, creating a format that plays with the conventions of traditional history podcasts.

The renewed partnership marks a significant milestone for both Fin vs History and Podmasters, demonstrating the strength of the relationship between the network and the team behind one of the UK's fastest-growing comedy podcasts.

Since launching in January 2025, Fin vs History has grown into a major podcast success story, winning a Chortle award, embarking on an eight date live tour across the UK, including a sold out show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.  This year it has been nominated for Best Comedy Podcast at the British Podcast Awards taking place in October.

The show’s growth is also reflected in its chart performance, with Fin vs History continuing to rank highly across both major podcast platforms Spotify and Apple. As of September 2026, the podcast sits at #12 in Spotify’s UK Top Podcasts chart and #4 in Spotify’s UK Comedy chart, while on Apple Podcasts it has reached the Top 20 overall in the UK and Top 5 in Comedy.

For Podmasters, the re-signing is also a vote of confidence in the network's approach to working with independent talent. The network has built its reputation around a collection of distinctive shows across comedy, politics, news, history and culture.

Podmasters prides itself on working closely with creators to help them grow their audiences, monetise and subsequently build sustainable businesses around successful formats.

Martin Bojtos, Co-Founder and CEO of Podmasters, said: “Fin vs History is exactly the kind of show we love at Podmasters. It is original, fearless and completely distinctive. To see it grow at this speed has been incredible, but what means just as much is that Fin, Horatio and the team have chosen to continue that journey with us. For us, that trust is a real measure of success.”

For Fin vs History producer Fumblerooski Productions, the relationship has been key to allowing the team to focus on creating a show that continues to evolve alongside its audience.

Pete Wells, managing director of Fumblerooski of Fin vs History, said: “The success of the podcast has been phenomenal; we’ve been able to hire a team, build new sets and explore new areas like animation and more exciting things to come. Podmasters understand that balance. They give us the support and expertise behind the scenes while allowing the creative team to keep pushing the format forward.”

In addition to resigning Fin vs History, Podmasters will welcome a number of new shows and talent partnerships to its growing slate in the coming months.

The diversity of basketball games is one of their main draws. While some games stress entertaining arcade mechanics with exaggerated dunks, special powers, and fast-scoring matches, others emphasize realistic gameplay with actual player motions, official teams, and detailed courts.
